I bought the 2002 Super Air Nautique in spring of 2009. After using my 1962 Classic for 2 years as a family boat, I decided I needed something a bit bigger. Also, learning how to wakesurf at the CCF reunions had a bit to do with the decision as well.

Finding and buying was a collaborative effort of CCF friends. The boat was found on CraigsList in California. A trusted friend inspected the boat and bought it on my behalf. He readied it for shipment and it was hauled over 2000 miles to Milwaukee.

The rare combination of black hull, black deck and Python big block engine sealed the deal for me. It takes a bit of effort to keep it looking sharp, but it is worth the effort.

Since I can’t leave well enough alone, a few projects have followed since the purchase. New stereo, amps and speakers, relocate sub to drivers kick panel, dual Optima batteries in an added battery well and a 6 pump ballast system with custom controls kept me busy during the 2009/2010 winter. More to come for sure...
