New to the CCF page, and it seems to be a gold mine of good info! I'm a lifetime boat guy, but this is my 1st Correct Craft, and I am beyond overjoyed at the stroke of good luck I was blessed with when I found this hidden gem.
She is a 78' Southwind 20 Bowrider with a PCM 351W, Borg Warner 71C 1::1 Velvet Drive tranny, and OEM 13x13 3 blade prop. She only has 188 original hours on her. The best part of all? She is 100% original in every way, has been covered, stored under cover, was completely preserved for long term storage about 10 years ago, (complete w/ plugging or covering every through-hull fitting, blower vents, etc), has ZERO rot anywhere, and just needs a little mechanical & electrical TLC and a gel coat buff to get her dialed in and beautiful again. Even her trailer (a Correct Craft #4) is in great shape with the exception of needed a sand blast and new paint.
I live and boat on Lake Lanier, just north of Atlanta GA, and feel that this retro beauty will handle the rough water of Lanier in the summer as well or better than most modern 25+ foot sport boats, with her ample deadrise and Carolina flaired bow. I'd love to connect with other older CC owners on Lanier or in the area!
