I have for sale a 1981 ski nautique with a ford 351w v8. I bought it from a coworker in a non running condition. I have since installed a new 4 barrel holly carb, new flamethrower 2 electronic ignition distributor/wires/plugs, new starter and replaced the raw water impeller. I also changed the oil with valvoline VR1. the engine now runs great and transmission shifts smoothly. Engine has 588 hours and I''ve personally put maybe 2 onto it since fixing it. Fuel tank looks in good condition, I replaced the fuel hose and the filter housing.
The interior is shot, I have 3 brand new cushions, one of them is for the passenger seat and the other two are for the transom back/seat. The driver seat is all tore up and the engine lid is covered in mildew spots. I started to pull up the carpet since it was shot too and found the floor in front of the engine is rotten and I''m sure the rest of the floor isn''t far behind. I don''t do glass work much anymore and I''m not really in love with this boat to even want to do it.
The trailer is almost 40 years old and shows, there''s rust in many places but it tows well and still holds the boat. The tires look new (previous owner said they had been replaced recently along with the hub bearings) for whatever that is worth. I towed it about 50 miles down the highway to get it home without issue. I also replaced the trailer jack and the receiver as both were broken. Trailer lights and wiring are non existent and I''m already further down this rabbit hole than I want to be.
Boat is located in stuart, florida. I have more pictures and videos of the engine running upon request. I can be reached by email via xermakius@yahoo.com. asking 1800 obo, will consider trades for offshore boating/fishing gear.
