1970 Ski Nautique project for sale. I purchased this boat several years ago with the knowledge that it needed stringers, had a freeze damaged block and needed a full restoration. Unfortunately I am no longer in a position to continue the restoration.

When the boat was purchased it was in need of total restoration but had almost all original components including seats, rear seat back, gauges/speedometers (except ammeter), ski pylon with ring, engine cover, original trailer (new tires), 318 Chrysler with velvet drive 71-C.

Items changed or missing include steering wheel, later swim platform and windshield from later Nautique.

Since owning the boat I have stripped the hull, removed foam and rotten stringers and begun the process of replacing stringers and secondaries following the layup methods detailed in the forums on this website. Currently the hull is bare with new Douglas Fir stringers bedded and laminated ready to continue rebuild.

The engine block has freeze damage but I have had it running to confirm that accessories and transmission are in functional condition. It will need a new block and/or rebuilt engine but the other parts appear good. It also has an electronic ignition conversion, new vibration damper and rebuilt carburetor.

Originally the boat was the factory dark green gel-coat but has been painted with later SKI NAUTIQUE graphics.

I will include $1200 worth of US Composites epoxy, mat and cloth with the boat to continue to the project.

I would like to find a new home for this boat where it can be completed and enjoyed!
