1972 Correct Craft Southwind deep V project boat. Hull Number is SW 912.
Boat hull in great shape (made in 1972 before the 76 oil embargo, when petroleum based products like fiber glass resin got way more expensive). After that manufactures started to cut cost by cutting back on materials. The hull is thick as a "brick" so to speak.
Engine is a ford 409 medium block (ford FE type). Engine has been completely rebuilt ($2200 invested in that). It was bored from a 390 to a 409. Engine includes 2 holly 4160 marine carburetors. Either needs to be rebuilt. Engine and transmission are both out of boat. Boat needs new interior (deck and stringers) and transmission needs to be rebuilt.
Transmission worked fine, but an inboard transmission is simple (only a forward and a reverse), so it should be rebuilt since it is out of the boat. It is a somewhat simple process (relatively speaking). Boat is a true classic and VERY rare. Trailer included. Have over 6k invested, just don''t have the cycles to finish it. These are the "Harley Davidson''s" of boats.
I started this project with a complete rebuild/restoration in mind and then became disabled and can''t finish the project. Boat is apart and picking it up will be a slight ''process''. Engine and transmission will have to be carried away separately.
Interior has been partially gutted. It all needs to be removed and new spruce stringers glassed in place. Gas tank is temporary (comes with the boat). A better one probably could be fitted depending on the interior layout you wanted.
Price $2,500.00
