1967 Correct Craft Mustang
This is our family boat that we have used since 1982. We repowered it with a 302 a couple of years ago. At the same time I gutted the interior, put in new stringers, foam, gas tank, fuel pump. Could not get the boat to run well after the re-power. Replaced the distributor with a electronic one. Then found out that the new block required a different timing order.
Boat ran great for two summers, then sat in the garage for a couple of years. Took it out last spring for a cruise and the pickup impeller disintegrated. I caught the overheat quickly. But I had some water in oil. Pulled motor down, had heads and Manifolds checked for true, all good. All iron motor, so reassembled and ran it for twenty minutes on hose. Small amount of water in oil.
The boat sits on a aluminum trailer and trailers very well. It fits straight into my two car garage no problem.
So, at this time the intake manifold is off, I have new gaskets for reassembly. There are a few minor items that need to be addressed. But I am confident that the new gaskets will do the trick.
Which brings me to the point for the sale. I don't have the time to do this boat justice and bring it back to where it needs to be. It is a great little muscle skier that does everything it should. I am including all the stuff in my garage for it, fat sacks, Hyfly pole, original ski pole, another tall pole, ski rope, etc.. I just had new hull emblems made. This boat purrs with a throaty 302 rumble through the 4ft wet straight pipes.
Message me for more pictures. Thanks and Happy New Year.
