This is another thread but I was thinking of organizing a CCF weekend this winter either in NY or ME.

I'd be up for a CCFR on snow. Two planker here. Any excuse to ski - water, snow, whatever.

I hear you about it being cold camping in Oct, Joe. No plans for that weekend yet, so Ill keep it in mind. Like Steve, I dont get Mon off, though.

Putting something together for this winter is another great idea, as I bet several of us 2-plankers would love to meet up as well.

I thought you might say that Steve I also considered snowboarding a proper use of a later season Raindog visit and will be happy to get involved in that, maybe a day up there at one of the big moutians and some follow up around here on your way back through.

I think so, I am trying to get some hardy souls to camp out on an island with me. Fly'n Bryan was talking about staying up a bit farther north, almost across from log bay. Possibly there are more convienient sites for future reunions. Bryan worked at a marina in that area (Bolton I think) 3 summers and he seemed to think it might work out even better. I didnt get to see nearly enough of the lake so I would like to camp up in the narrows island chain and get more of the north country in. Columbus day is the last state campground day of the year, we usually camp that weekend it can be cold but its generally doable. So yeah a little late season boating, leaves changing in the mountains, maybe a few pulls on Bryan's air chair behind my weighted down 83 etc etc.

I'd love to, Joe, but it is highly unlikely.
You Northeastern guy's may not realize, but most of us do not have Columbus day off, unless you work for the government or a bank.

If this gets done and I pick it up, it would be winter/early spring. He can use it as a filler project since I'm in no hurry.

However, I'd sure like to try some eastern snowboarding though.

Our doors are always open for a CCF in NH. We are having a big slow cooker party on Sunday of Columbus Day. The more the merrier! The Margarita's are flowing and the food and fun are abundant!

I didn't see Bill at the Saturday banquet. That's OK though, I can simply measure mine now.

Hey Raindog...did you ever get the measurements for your trailer? If you need any assistance with that do not hesitate to ask.

One of the coolest things of last weekend was seeing CudaChick tearing around in HER boat. Just don't see too many ladies killing it old school.

Welcome CudaChick - I owe you your very own badge now. More than happy to oblige.

I'm glad I encouraged you to get on the forum. Just as Quinner proves twice a year, with enough harassment, guys can get their way

Hey! Glad you made it home safe. I love the picture of you protecting Barbie..chivalry is certainly not dead. Your #1 fan is still recovering from the weekend. Did she tell you that she really is not a fan of water? I told her to hang on to the bumper and enjoy the ride! Good times!

Welcome, to the site!!!!

Tell my number one Fan, that I said hello!!!

It was great to meet your family and to see your boats on the water.

But do you have enough gas to keep the Barracuda running till the end of the season....(hehe).

Hey...I just wanted to thank Keith for a great job in organizing and executing the Northeast Reunion. What an awesome time! So glad to have met so many great people! I would like to also thank New England Correct Craft, Craig and Fred. They worked their butts off to get the engine in the 77 Nautigue and dial in the alignment on the transmission of the Barracuda. I hope they had fun dealing with us as much as we had fun dealing with them! The boats ran great! A little bummed when we got home from Lake George and unloaded the 2 boats...our season will be coming to a close soon. I am fighting it though! I will be out on the water until it snows if I have my way!!!!

No problem, Bruce. Hollywood has an eye for things that make him happy. It's definitely not me. I wore my brown shorts that day. I'm inside my boat on the driver's side.

Hollywood, I was just recovering from my weekend assault from Quinner, now you're giving it to me? Man, you Midwest fellas never miss an opportunity to throw a jab or two! Are you Quinner's offspring or what?

Dude, I have no idea what's up with that photo. I was trying to jockey my boat on and off the sand. My tracking fins we sucked into the sand/mud a pain in the rear to move.

BTW, take a look at that photo again. I'm inside my boat and that's somebody else with their leg on my boat. I wore shorts, not a long wetsuit. There's no way that's me. So who is that?

Mojo,
There where two different 'sandbars' we visited. The first was Sandy Bay which was pretty close to Marine Village (home base) and the perfect spot. We were unfortunately kicked out for 'rafting', i.e. tying up. So then moved North about four miles to Log Bag which has an undeveloped shoreline. Despite the longer ride, I think that's where we'll start next year.
