Is there a 1 tent policy? Last year we set up a tent next to our camper, nobody said anything. Seem to recall other sites having multiple tents as well.

If Reggie is still the person running the site I doubt she would give you trouble about it, she is pretty easy going and has gotten to know our group pretty well.

Thanks, I figured they wouldn't fuss much. I read that on their website, along with no bringing your own wood. Don't know how well they'll be able to enforce that one either.

As long as your tents don't infringe on the space of another camper's spot, you're good to go.. And since darn near every spot is reserved for CCFan'ers, the multiple tents won't be a big deal.
There is also always plenty of wood, so you probably don't need to bring any..
Glad to see you're making the trip Hawktique, you'll have a great time..

Sounds good. I'm sure I'll have a blast. It'll be a good guys weekend for me this year. Maybe next year I'll bring the wife and kids.

Now I just have to wetsand and buff the boat. The faded yellow I bought it with is killing me. Time to make it pop! I'm still on the fence with decals, Nautuque or Hawktique...

Here's a 2008 class winner from the GL reunion.. Have fun with your boat, (just make sure it's a decal so if you need to sell down the road you can !!)

Josh,
The firewood issue isn't the campground but state. I believe it's the DNR that rules over bringing firewood over state lines. Wisconsin doesn't need any bugs or disease's from Iowa!

I may be pulling the boat up with an RV. How easy would the boat ramp be to put in with an RV? I'm sure I could always thow a bit of $$ to one of my fellow CCF's put my boat in for me. Still on the fence with the whole RV thing though. Any input? I've reserved Lot 9, which I think is pretty good sized.

Several members launch with their RV's at the campground. Shouldn't be a problem.. If you're not comfortable doing that, there will be dozens of guys with trucks to launch you boat.. Hell, it usually just a takes a beer or two ...... Bring the RV !!!

I wouldn't hesitate to bring the RV, launching wont be an issue.. my truck is usually within site of the launch and I will happily let you know where the keys are. The only time all weekend where you can't easily walk to an event would be the on land opening night gathering assuming it is in the same location as last year. No problem getting a ride down there from the camp ground a little trickier getting the boat back and forth but we can work something out.

I pull my nautique with a 31 footer, never had a problem launching at the campground behind it. Plenty of room, not the greatest ramp in the world but it works. We get in town early and usually launch a few times with the motorhome but once the crowd shows up people stand in line to help you so don't worry about a thing.

So am I Pete, so am I!!
You can not imagine how much I'm looking forward to finally meeting some of you guys in person! I'm counting on having very short nights over there LOL.

One other thing tho. Jo Nautique (my buddy) told me today that he will be unable to come along. Too bad. Since I booked a double bedroom at the Lakeview Motel and the manager told me on the phone they were fully booked already (thus being unable to offer me a single room), I got a spare bed.
So if anyone of the (preferably young good looking female ) members here are having trouble to find a place to stay during that weekend, we could share the room... Just let me know.

Just canceled my room at Lakeside for Fri/Sat since we are staying with the Leinen family. If someone is looking for a room for those nights, I'd snag it quickly!

Dudes in dresses not so much, but I sometimes do have nightmares about dudes in pink barefoot suits...

No need, I can help. It's probably from some horrifying childhood incident and your brain has blocked the memory of. I'm guessing the school boys caught you wearing a pink dress, having a tea party with your dolls.
