Marty, I hope you're OK. What's with your area? Maybe that metal carport you put up to replace the last one that a tornado took out looks too much like a mobile home? |

I think, the motel deck and area should be the home base for everyone to sandbar !!!! I spoke with Marty about this after last year... |
|||
Jbear, said to me wow if it was'nt for this site we would never had met for this to happen....

Yes, there are 'mooring bouys' at the Swim Area side. We'd have to ask about these, if we could use them for the day.
Will check in later guys-- We have another tornado spotted touching down 2 miles from me. Trying to get the Live stream on-line---All electricity is out. |

Steve,
I hung out with my kids at the Camp Ground Dock for a few hours to let my kids play in the white sand. There really is not a lot of room to tie up a lot of boats. However, the dock is very big. There are a lot of those floating balls to tie up to, but they belong to someone somewhere. We can probably use those for a few hours. I do belive that using the Marina's (Boat Launch) long dock again this year may be the best option. I will take my kid ( only one is coming) to the sand to play again. I really do not know of a better place to go. It is a very small and very developed lake. There is a large public beach titled Goldston's ( I think), but I do not think that would be desirable. Marty and gang,
Just a thought. Last year, once we got on the water, we kinda played at the dock a good bit. Should we establish the dock as kind of the CCFan base while we're out playing for the day? Or consider something else? The Motel/Campground has that nice covered pavillon area on right on the beach with a very nice sandy swimming area that would be great for those that want to play in the water, sun on the sand etc. I can't remember what their dock set up was, but I was just thinking that it might be a good option. I don't think there's a sandbar type area on White Lake so that wouldn't be an option. It won't be quite "in season" for the White Lake locals so dominating the WL Marina docks probably isn't a problem, I just thought the WL Motel and Campground might be a better locale. Just asking. What do ya'll think? |

Last year was about 15 Boats--I'm thinking 16 CCFan members. 32 I think on the Head count total. Although only had about 16 at the cookout.
This year-some still haven't signed up : thinking about 20 Boats, 22 CCFan members, and maybe 40 on the total head count. This is as close as I can tell with some of the no-signee's. |

Been off the grid alot for the last couple of weeks and it looks like i've missed alot of activity.
Marty, how about a recap of attendees and expected boats? What was the count last year? This one looks to be bigger already. |

Because you're one of the few on this site who owns a classic shot ski made of wood and who always seems to show up at every CCFan gathering. Kinda of no brainer if you ask me. However you do have help in membership drives...just ask Lynette. And Sweet.....Congrat's on the new boat! Good looking boat for a great looking couple. We know you'll take good care of her but now you have to buy your bride a new Slalom Ski! |
A binding does seem like cheating. Don't know for sure what the CCFSS team is (is the SS shot ski?) but I'll give it a shot. (bad pun intended)
Good read AND pun IAught! Regardless of not yet partaking in the shot ski at an official CCF gathering, it nonetheless entitles you to automatic membership onto the CCFSS team. I'm searching right now however, to see just who died and made me the membership drive chairman. Oh, and Gary, Boaty's got that position sewn up, paws down. |

If we add the binding, ANYBODY can ski on it, plus later the binding will hit someone right in the face. You can probably just lock your big toe(s) in the shot holes. And Tim, if you won't at least even attempt to ski on just a slippery piece of narrow plywood, I don't think you're worthy of being on the CCFSS Team. EDIT: I'm sorry, that was a little harsh, as you know you're a member for life, but without at least trying, you can't be Team president. |

Bring the frigging binding for it and someone will. If I'm there I'll take it out for a spin. |
