I call BS on this one. I was looking at it this morning, but kept moving when I saw the Texas registration, erroneous description and low price.

I do not believe color on the hull where it is yellow was an option in 2000, the GT-40 says it would be 02' or prior, again if original.

Would agree with Murph and lean towards BS.

Only trying to accomplish the obvious. He would probably try to take a non-Paypal deposit and you'd never hear from him again.

Ive seen that '00 listed for sale on and off in a few different places for quite some time... I dont think its necessarily BS. Its a little rough around the edges, doesnt appear to have a cover, and has a crappy trailer- that and the fact that it has remained unsold to this point would explain the low asking price. The color combo also is not the best... but that yellow gel and interior color was an option, and Ive seen lots of 00-01 boats with that part of the gelcoat "colored in"... I dont think theres anything fishy about that detail. Clearly the seller isnt well versed on what he has though. TSC's seem to be creeping down in price, and this isnt the first Ive seen in the $10-15k range. I would most definitely proceed with caution, but I wouldn't dismiss it entirely.

I was thinking it was a flood boat that doesn't run or something. Thanks for the info Tim, definitely a convo piece, and if it is a legit deal...seems like an ok one to me

I noticed the bad trailer and the "Nautica Edition" color scheme.

The thing that stuck out as a red flag to me was the lack of hours noted

Update on that '00: someone over on the Mastercraft Forums has seen this boat in person. The good news is that its not a Nigerian scam... but the bad news is pretty bad. Sounds like a flood damaged boat (nice catch on the TX reg, John). Shady seller as well. Buyer beware!

I don't agree, it's the carbed 351 with the GT heads I'm assuming 285hp no? Or am I mistaken?
