Well, with my exhaust manifold off and my dip stick hanging in free air I dropped my motor box on it. Anything special about these Ford Interceptor dip stick tubs?

Not really, if replacing it, the length of the tube would be important, because if it were shorter or longer than the origianl it would throw off the calibration of low or high.
