I caught the video for Kid Rock’s “All Summer Long” this morning. I’m not a Kid Rock fan, but I like the song and video. I thought some of you might like it too…

The video has boats and bikinis… What else could you ask for?

I have to agree. And growing up in MI, I have to agree with his song that there is not much better that a summer spent in Northern Michigan.

I am a Kid Rock fan, but even if you are just a rock, in general, fan, you should go see one of his concerts. It is, by far, the best concert I have ever been to. Granted, it was at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit on Super Bowl weekend, but I have to believe that it would be just as good anywhere.

Warren Zevon, Skynard, and Kid Rock all mixed up in the same salad bowl?!!?   LOL

Cool song...but I wish he wouldn't 'endorse' that close pass on the fishing boat; now everybody will be doing it!

I spent the summer of '66 in Detroit and Michigan has never been the same since. I saw the smoke, violence and all the stuff that a bad wake brings to mind. Some of you are way to young!

That was a great video!!!!!!! nothing wrong with boats and your best friend sharing times at the lake. I respect all that he was trying to bring to the table. That was and still is my life that I want to have and continue to bring every time I hit the water. Cut through the BS and see the true meaning of the song. I absolutely can relate to every part of that video, minus the extra 10 nasty babes on the party barge... thats Hollywoods territory for sure... maybe Quinners as well on a good day !!!!!!

one of my best friends from my ski team is in a band with Kid Rock's son. He goes over to Kid's house all the time and he just went and saw Kid Rock here in Detroit (actually in clarkston at DTE Theater). Of course he gets the backstage passes and all. He said Kid Rock is a great guy but the only part that sucks is that he cant go out in public too much, especially around here. I went to see one of my friends concerts and Kid couldnt come because it would cause too much of a crazy time. He said one time he went to a Clarkston PTA meeting and they told him to not come back because they couldnt keep the meeting on track cus people were constantly asking for autographs

Hey waterskier2007
What's with the DTE Theater BS? It is, and will always be, The Pine Knob Music Theater!!
I've seen Kid Rock twice, and those two concerts have to be high on my list of great shows.

This song is the best rock song in the last 20 years. Atlanta Rhythm Section's "Homesick" in 1981, is in the same vein.   If you were growing up in those times in the late 80's, he hits it on the head.

and the video is awesome.

This record is a big hit over here too...
And, things he sings about do sound very familiar to me...
- Gun control means: using BOTH hands!
- Money doesn't make one happy, but when it rains cats and dogs, it's still better to cry in a Porsche than on a bicycle...

Here's a promo and some history about the band...and no, I'm not working for them.

He has a few good ones; depending on the mood. I've also been to a bunch of metal shows...some even rough enough to mess up a transmission guy?!!?   LOL

I like most any music short of rap that is well made by talented folks, but I really like the w/e festivals DTB does and the people that attend.

DTB also does small to medium venues...100 shows a year and 18 years doing it!

Ya jw. It's amazing what happens in our minds when all the sudden those girls are ours--or could be ours. I've got three teenage daughters right now. I'd rather they didn't bring a guy like KR home with them.

I work at a software company in downtown Detroit and saw kid rock having lunch with the owner today. I wanted to ask about the boat but figured today was not my last day so I had better not interrupt. This might answer the question about the boat -
