Welcome Todd! from a fellow Marylander. Where exactly are you located? I'm in Deep Creek and from your photos I gather you're somehwere down east.

Also....you've posted under "parts for sale" please tell us you're not parting out that beautiful boat.

Now that's a proper introduction.
Pictures on the first post with out our begging.
Nice work.

Didn't you recently post this for sale on Craigs List?

What condition is the gel. Is is original? Any cracks or major flaws?

yes this boat has been for sale 2 times.
vary sad. im a picky seller the first guy i

backed out on because he didnt know what he

was getting i just couldnt do it. now my wife

is expecting twins and its up again. a nice

guy in the mid west has a 77 and a 97 and is

looking for a project. not that this needs

much but it could use some good skiing mabey

some footin stuff like that. it will be hard

to let go, i learned how to ski on this boat.

i hope to get another one some day when the

kids are older. i hope the buyer will put

some of the original parts on it. ohh and yes

it is the original gel coat and it dose have

some scratches, the boat is 39 years old.

Todd, are you saying that the boat is already sold to someone in the mid-west ?
If so, then congratuations to you for the sale and to them for now owning a good looking boat.
If not sold, I do not see a price ?

Todd,
This suggestion was for the pictures in your first post. I see that you have double spaced the text in your second post. I just wanted to clear it up.

I see you have asked about foam and stringer work in another thread. Does it pertain to this boat? Great looking but even the beast kept can have problems.

Todd, I'd call the buyer up and tell him the foam is soaked and you can't sell it to him. That's your twin's grandfather's boat. Don't sell it.

Agree, don't sell. Being that your Dad bought it new, and you have it now is amazing. Keep it and work on it a bit. You cannot replace heirlooms like that. The fact that it has been in your family so long is stuff that we here would dream to have.

So we are all agreed? Todd is not selling the boat. Case closed, we are adjourned.
Congrats Todd! You can tell your wife the vote was unanimous.

Oh yeah, congrats on the twins too!

That is actually a 1971 model. 1970 had a rib molded into side with a flair at rear, also had a unflat bow top with a flag holder up front. I have 2 1971 models. One is just like this one. Same color and all. Inca Gold is the CC color.

Ray,

I am not sure what rib you are talking about. This one is a ski nautique, not a mustang or skier. I don't see any reason it can't be a 70 ski nautique.

Ray,
This picture shows the "rib molded into side with a flair at rear" that I feel you are referring to.

The above mentioned boat is a Nautique and they never had this feature.
