Lewy, it would be great to see you again. We could all use a bit more culture from the Southern Hemisphere.

The '09 CCF Midwest Reunion Slide Show is now live! 229 photos recapping four fantastic days in WI this past July.

The 2010 dates are still pending. I have an annual conflict with the weekend following July 4th so I'm trying to work out the best date for everyone. We'll post official dates shortly.

Thank you,
Keith

Steve,
The first year we held the "gathering" on the 2nd weekend because the park was available and it's a relatively quiet weekend activity wise in GL. The hotels wern't even a concern then. As the Reunions continued on the same July weekend, it just all fell into place with Bill's availability @ the Bayview.

The date got changed because of Keith's personal schedule. If however we can't get the park for the weekend (which is part of the grand plan for GL10)we'll either have to change gears completely, or see if the weekend can possibly get changed back..

No, the golfers don't play @ Tuscumbia. They have a tournament at Lawsonia just outside of town. Have for years..

More will be let known as things are solidified. Unfortunately, we don't have the luxury to hinge the entire weekend on the availability of one hotel..

Anyone check into Lakeside's availability??

If it is true about the golfers, won't the Country Club be unwilling to host our Friday show?

Mark,
If we waited for that weekend in WI, we'd only have a reunion every 6 or 7 years...

Why don't you just go with the weekend that will have sunshine, calm winds and temps in the mid 80's

Moj,
I think one of the reasons we started the 2nd weekend originally, was because of the golfers booking the Bayview every year on the third weekend.

Last year for some reason, the golfers moved their weekend up to the 2nd weekend. Worked out good for 09.....but, Sounds like they're back to the 3rd one again....

I heard that the Bayview is booked out for the exception of three rooms.. The golfers have that weekend pretty sewn up.. Need to see if we can get the park location again, if not, we may certainly have to consider the week before.... More later..

Last call for Green Lake Photos. Now the Lake George is done, it's time to build the Midwest Reunion slide show. If anyone has photos and has not yet uploaded them, please follow the instructions below.

I'll hope to have the slide show done by the end of the week so please have your photos up no later than tomorrow evening.

Thank you,
Keith

Once connected, click on the Green_Lake_2009 folder where you will see folders with people's names (i.e. Keith). At this point, please create a new folder:

Rename the folder with your name:

Double click on the new folder with your name (which will be empty) and then simply copy all your photos from your computer and paste them to the folder:

If you are having connecting (especially those with IE8), turn off 'Passive Mode' and once connected open the page in Windows Explorer, see photos below:

That article is great to see!   What a great weekend.

Thanks, too, to Raindog for the surfin props, I had not been on this thread in quite a while. Steve, you should see what that thing looks like with 2000+ lbs run down the surfer side. Big waves, dude. BIG waves. Capacity plate, pppphhhhttt. Merely a suggestion!

Wow...where to start? Patti and I are just home this evening after a awesome road trip. Put about 3400 miles on the truck while roaming around for 3 weeks. What a great time.....started at Reid and Laurie's.....picked up skicat and kyTom in Lexington then enjoyed a long drive thru endless cornfields to finally reach Green Lake. Now I am not sure but there has got to be a reason why all those windmills are up in the GL area. I know the weather is always better "the day after" but jeez can't we have this great time during the summer? Seriously...what a great time again this year...well worth the trip. Was just awesome seeing all you guys again and meeting a few new ones as well. Thanks to quinner and Maddie for putting up with me, Patti and jo the wonder dog. Thanks to you guys who put in so much work setting this all up. Thanks to Keith for starting this whole thing!

Thanks for the correction. I though it was a 750 lb sac on the seat. Probably confused that number with 750 lbs in total sac weight.

I don't think so. Per Mike, the sac in the seat was only about 400lbs. I don't think you had more than 700-750lbs extra ballast between the two bags.

You did have my considerable mass sitting on the left side of the boat, but that's another story. BKH
