No it is a new unused one that I found years ago in hopes to one day reproduce them for people who wanted and needed them.

The last tag should actually read "Nautiques by Correct Craft since 1961"

Very cool stuff.....why would it be 1961 and not 1925? The first model of Nautique?

The first nautique built by Correct Craft was built in 1961,before that the name and the original mold for that hull was made by and belonged to Leo Bentz and his company was Glass Craft boats out of miami. He marketed his tow boat as the Ski Nautique by Glass Craft. He sold the mold to the Meloons sometime before 61 and went back to law school.

Pinkham, Fennessy, Benjamin, Sutton, etc all take note:

"Newest water ski boat - not a drag race boat"

Directly from the creator's brochure!

Bah, that statement probably came from the marketing dept.

"Specifically engineered hull form to give maximum speed."

Now we're talking!

Mike, I would be glad to give you my email! I now have plenty of graphics/images for the 1975 decal. We are good to go! Thanks so much, many will benefit from our efforts.

It is: mrfurymn.8124@yahoo.com

What great history! Your information really says it all! Hopefully many can see how important Leo Benz was in creating such a great ski boat!

Thanks, Yes if it were not for Leo and the Ski Nautique we would probably not be communicating on a web site such as this and Correct Craft would not have the kind of Cult Following of their brand that they have had for decades. He is a very nice man and he was kind enough to pass on to me some very special treasures.
