I recently bought a restored 1965 American Skier, which appears to be mostly original except for the steering wheel. Does anyone know where I might find one from close to that year? You can email me at GBarker123@aol.com .

Here's one, steering wheel that other than color seems to be close to what I remember being in my '64 back in the day.

Greg,
The wheel Gary linked to would be appropiate but may not be exact. CC used lots of different wheel back then. Do check on the diameter because some of the outboard wheels where smaller. The cracks can be filled and then the wheel can be painted to get a closer match. Post some pictures of the boat. We'd love to see what you found. Get some pictures to Keith and a story so he can enter it into the diaries section. Welcome to CCfan. |
