yes, I've looked the manual through. I'm just not seeing anything about the vdrive fluid.

V-drive fluid is 30W oil. There is a dipstick on the top. Use a suction gun to get the fluid out of that. Measure what you remove, and add that much. Check level. Run it, and check it again. You do the same for the trans with Dexron III. Without looking, I am positive that the manual shows both capacities.

Seb, Yes I did see you asked too. I asked in all of Jacks threads!! I sure hope we get a answer and Jack isn't one to ask and then run - never to be heard from again (or at least until his next problem!!!) |

he e-mailed me and the oil looks good so far, he went ahead and changed the engine oil last night, he's a little worried 4 qts didn't drain, he still needs to let run some and get it hot to make sure a crack doesn't open up but so far so good. Suppose to be pretty good weather here for the next couple days so should be able to get some work done on it.

Sorry, guys. Yes, it does look like, for now, the major crisis has been overted. Sorry for the lack of update. I looked at the v drive compartment, under the middle rear seat, and I'm not sure HOW I'm supposed to get this dipstick out!?!? I looks like a blue knob, about the size of a quarter circumfrence, I am able to pull it upward, but I'm not sure how I'm supposed to get it past the rear backrest cushioning. Thanks for your continued assistance, guys! |
