Have 97 196 w/ GT40
How can you tell if there's too much steam coming out the back? Does this mean there could be a problem? Seems to run fine. Temp is holding at 160 I get it when accelerating and cruising. Is this due to water, air temp, etc.? What other things should I look for? I was going to switch out the impeller just to be safe Help? |

Mike,
I wouldn't go changing out the impeller if you aren't running high engine temps. Yes, the water temp, air temp and dew point is the reason you'll see more water vapor at times. Welcome to CCfan. Get you boat posted up in the diaries. There's a application icon to click on in that section. |

I appreciate the quick response.
I hope that's the case I already torn it open to check the impeller. So I figured what the heck and I ordered one. So no other things to look for?? One more question - Do you know the proper way to clean the spark arrestor? |

Mike,
Just like any other engine part, brush and solvent on the flame arrestor. |
