I am looking for shifters or even the complete console for a mahogany Barracuda SS. Also looking for a steering wheel, the old Mercury Turnpike cruiser type.

It's crossed my mind that we may have to go that route.

Bruce, this one is around the corner from Keegan in Greensboro,NC. About 15 miles from me. He's talked to him about selling, but he won't come off $800. Maybe cold hard cash will change his mind. Let me know if ya want to persue.

I'm curious if any of you SS owners have had your shifters out to see or do you happen to know who made them?

Marty, thanks for the tip, but that is the steering wheel I have and like mine it is pretty rough. That boat's probably worth $800 though.

Gary I have the linkage and console. Someone removed the shifters when they installed a Morse control. Maybe a speed shop might sell shifters? I've never seen a Mustang SS either. There's been one for sale in the diaries for a long time. It was last priced at $2000 OBO if I remember correctly.

Like Bruce said, theres the one for sale in Toledo... and this one has been in the diaries forever. Definitely not as many Mustang SS's around as the Barracudas though.

Definitely forever. I joined the site on 1/8/2004 soliciting info on 66-69 mustangs that might be for sale, as the diaries at the time were pretty limited. Keith posted a reference to that boat. Too far away, and if I recall correctly, too pricey, but a good looking boat. I always liked the SS's. Don't know what became of that boat, but I do like it.

I've had my shifters out and don't recall seeing any ID markings, the assembly is pretty simple, even crude.
