I have located a 1968 CorrectCraft Mustang for sale. The owner says it has an original 4 cyclinder engine. Was a 4 cyclinder available?

I also have a restored 68 Mustang with original trailer for sale. I'm the second owner, the original owner was the dealer in Prior Lake MN. CJ's Marine. It has the original 165 Hsp. I doubt that a 4 banger would have sufficient power.

Joe, any more information as to why you believe a 68 could not have come with a 4 Cylinder.

I know that a four cylinder was an option for some of the sixties models. Don't see these very often. Kind of fun to hunt down the details. BKH

It has been a while since I researched it all but I am pretty sure 66 was the last year you could get a 4 cylinder in a mustang (Gray/Continental 162 cu in 70hp). There was also a straight six interceptor (170 ford) and a V8 interceptor (the 260 ford). By 1967 they were transitioning to the standard 165 hp interceptor and optional 210 hp interceptor (ford V8's), and by 1968 they were fully transitioned to the 2 V8s. I could be wrong I wasn't in the factory at the time but I havent seen anything in print to the contrary.
