I called the Silver Sands and they only allow dogs 20 lbs and under. Is there any other pet friendly motels or campgrounds close by? |

Nautiquehunter, I talked to Brian Edwards @ Silver Sands (the Dad) we talked about our 2 dogs and Obie is 40 lbs. I assured him Obie is gentle and I was responsible for them. He said since it was still the off season he would bend the rules. We (I) also talked up CCFan and the love of these boats that bring "good" people together and how we will be back. I like Silver Sands because we "might" leave the boat in over nite so we can catch the butter at sunrise. P.S I looked @ your profile your 20 days older than me !!! Good luck! |

Are there any other options besides Silver Sands for people bringing dogs? Campgrounds? Parking lots? Im holding out hope that we may be a last minute addition- but Tique hasnt been 40 lbs in several months! Im sure he'd like to get out of the snowbelt though.

Tim,
To my knowledge, there's no camping (tent) on any part of the lake. That would be my preference. I think to stay on the lake it's pretty much Silver Sands or White Lake Motel. Hope you can make it. |

White lake doesn't allow dogs in the motel and there is a 30 lb limit in the camp ground.

we also have two dogs (pomerians) we were going to bring but called whitelake motel and they said no dogs and silver sands said they only have 2 pet friendly rooms. so being this is still all new to us and them, looks like sam and spike are going to mom and dads for the weekend
