I have a 1995 GT40 Fuel Injected Super Sport (V drive) I am no longer hearing the fuel pump priming when the key is turned on. Engine spinning freely but will not fire. I put on a fuel pressure guage and have 0 pressure when engine is cranked or key is turned on. Is there a fuse, relay, what should I look for? Thanks Paul

Look for and test the fuel pump relay. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the relay location on the GT-40, but would bet it is close to the rear of the engine mounted in the vicinity of the electronics.

THE RELAYS ARE NEAR THE ECM ON THE BACK OF THE MOTOR NEAR THE BREAKERS(60A 15A & 12.5A)THERE SHOULD BE 2 IDENTICAL RELAYS. ONE FOR STARTER/ECM AND THE OTHER FOR THE FUEL PUMPS(YOU SHLOULD HAVE 2 1 LP AND 1 HP) TYPICALLY IT IS NOT THE RELAYS THAT GO BAD IT IS THE LP PUMP.

I had a friends MB Sport with the same problem, I diagnosed it for him, and sure enough it was a bad relay. The coil worked, but no contact. I hit it, then it worked. I said the exact same thing about relays not failing, but I was wrong. We install hundreds identical relays at work and I have maybe seen one fail. Check to see if you have power to the low pressure pump by unplugging the connectors and using a test light. Note the polarity before removing. If you have no power, check the relay coil for power. You can tell the correct relay by matching the hot wire color of the pump to the relay.

Bozz21. Does that mean it would be toward the front end of the engine compartment since
this is a V-Drive????

I am having the same problem with my 95 Sport w/ GT40. So what was the verdict? Have you discovered the problem yet?
