Another one falls

This may hit the wooden boat crowd more but I thought I would pass it along since there are several on this site.

This past week we lost an amazing craftsman and ambasador to the wooden boat world. Dan Sutherland. Most recently he had been the boatyard manager and head boatbuilder at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum but had formerly had his own business as Sutherland Boat and Coach in Hammondsport NY. He had been very involved with Antique Boat Museum in Clayton NY, Wine Country Classic Boats and many of the boat shows across upstate NY. I had the pleasure of knowing Dan and frequented his shop in Hammondsport. He was a 4th generation boatbuilder and not yet 50 years old. He will be missed. RIP my friend.
