    Posted: May-08-2012 at 5:25pm
I picked up a '74ish Mustang 17 parts boat over the weekend. It is in rough shape, and missing the drivetrain (amongst other things). I will be keeping some of the parts for myself, but not all. In particular, the ones that are specific to this model will be available. Things like the boarding ladder, windshield, etc.

Please email me or post here with specific requests: TRBenj@gmail.com

Thanks!

Does the Mustang have vent windows? If so, I'm looking for the hardware and knobs as mine were stolen!

Thanks.

I'll double check, but unfortunately, I dont believe so. If memory serves, its the earlier, non-vented bare aluminum style. I will confirm this weekend.

David,
Take a look at new. They are not that expensive.

BTW, ether fix your broken "Caps Lock" button or get a new keyboard.

Petes right- theyre pretty inexpensive to buy new. If youre looking for an original 70's style, then check out Nautique Skins.

Would yours work?

Jeff, Im holding onto the pylon for now- I am going to pull the ring and finger and look into getting reproductions made.

The windshield and steering wheel are still available.

Dean, I believe the exhaust tips are one piece, as opposed to the separate tube and ring. Theyre 3", as most CC's from '71 forward are. Let me know if youre interested.

Is this Mustang dash emblem available? I had an out of state chrome shop doing work for me and they have lost the one from my 75 mustang.

Is the steering wheel still available? If so what would you say the condition of it is on a scale of 1 to 10?
Thanks

I have one other person interested in the steering wheel- he's awaiting pictures showing the condition as well.

It has a little bit of pitting on the chrome, but the rim and spokes look good. Id say a 6-7 out of 10.

Graham, no mounts on this boat (or in my stash)... it came engineless.

I'm keeping the Morse from the M17, as the BFN has a stripped housing. If youre just looking for the chrome arm, Ive pointed a few people to ebay- they can be had brand new for ~$60. They seem to be sold out at the moment, but the same guy has relisted a bunch of them several times. Keep checking and I bet he relists some more.

Im torn on the scoops... I dont have a need for them currently, but wouldnt mind holding onto them in case I end up wanting to reproduce them. Shoot me an email and we can discuss: TRBenj@gmail.com

I cant see the pic on this computer, but if its a Morse MV1 or MV2, that handle will swap over just fine!
