So one of the caps is missing on my DHM dual axle hub and i am thinking i should just do a full on bearing buddy and grease job to know it's been done (purchased 95 SN since last fall). My question is I have watch YT trailer videos about this (were not boat trailers though) but I am confused do I need to pull the whole hub or just the packed bearing casings. Any links to step by step procedures for noobs?

If water got in the hub, by all means pull it & repack the bearings - the sooner the better. They will rust & then you're replacing them.
I have a cone style bearing packer ($10 item) & it works good to push new grease in. |
