I don't know the brand, but I've had a heater in my last two boats (98 SN, and 01 Super Air), and wouldn't be without one. The heater cores don't last very well. I've had to replace a core every two or three years. Other than that, no problems.
We keep a blanket in the boat. The passengers in the observer's seat spread the blanket across themselves, stick the pullout heat hose under the blanket, and 2 or 3 can stay very warm. Mine has a separate duct for the driver which keeps the drivers pod area nice and warm. We use the heater often, even if we head out early in the middle of summer. That price seems high to me. Seems like my dealer only charged around $400 installed. BKH |

As the weather starts to get colder I start thinking of ways to stay out on the water :) So, adding a heater came to mind. Skidim has an ACU-HEAT MARINE HEATING SYSTEM for $394. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit. A) how well does it work? B) how easy was it to install? C) was it overall worth it? I've got an '88 Barefoot.
