Now, does this boat lean at rest also, or only in gear?

Here's my thoughts:
*The boat originally had a Right Hand (also known as Reverse) motor and a RH prop to go with it

*They swapped in a new motor that was LH

*Then, they swapped a LH prop to go with the new motor

*The boat then started to lean to the right under power, because the boat was more designed for RH, and the torque of the LH is pushing it over to the right

*They installed the tabs to try and straighten it out

More than likely you have a car engine replacement. The torque of the engine you now have and your weight are pushing the boat down on the drivers side. Correct Craft originally put an opposite rotation motor,a right hand one, to counter act that force so that side would be lifted instead and ride level. I'll bet the tabs were a crude attempt to fix.

yeah it does seem to have a slight lean at rest as well but once it takes off it leans hard to the right
