tuck a towel in around it, and run till winter [:)}   you can worry about upholstery when it's not good skiing weather.    I'd love to know the answer to Gary's question too, as I noticed your leak and tower post...   inquiring minds....

yes, I did buy that 1992 aqua colored ski with tower and 5.8 Pro Boss. 1200 hrs.
I have just been so busy reading the whole manual over and over figuring out how to fix the sticky steering and prop that will not turn by hand, so I ordered gore-tex packing for both and spark plugs, etc.

Did water test and it ran up to 61, cold start. fuel guage does not work and no radio or speakers. Owner was the first and very honest with me. It was a camp boat.

The Goxtex will not solve the problem. If you are out running it with a prop that won't turn by hand, expect to blow the trans soon.

Congratulations!   glad to hear you found what you were looking for.   your prop issues could very well be alignment, Pete did a video on the whole process on youtube. One thing I found was missing from the instruction was that the prop shaft and transmission output shaft may need a light rap with a deadblow to separate if they haven't been separated in a while.    I removed the bolts, and the two were stuck together. it left me wondering if I had missed something, so after careful inspection, and a little persuasion, they came apart.
