a friend of mine from the ski club has owned a 197 (?) since he bought it new in '86. Bowrider with a chevy 305 2b driven by a Volvo-Penta with a duo-prop. Nice boat..he loves it and has been very trouble free for him.

Been to the factory a few years ago, anyone who can keep a business going in the booming metropolis of Nashville, GA must be doing something right.

Chaparrals are good boats. I would say every bit as good as a SeaRay or even Cobalt. Im not sure about the 2000 models but the newer ones are super nice...I have a buddy with a 2011 26SSI open bow. Its as nice as it gets.

Well this is good because the nineteen Sport’s Extended V-Plane style permits the boat’s line to increase aft of wherever the outdrive fits the transom to offer the hull a extended running surface. The superimposed length creates a lighter ride in choppiness and also the superimposed buoyancy permits the boat to each get on plane quicker and stay there at lower speeds.
