I didn't have a problem when I did mine. Bolted right up.
Use anti-sieze or they'll be a pain to get off, as the old ones might! hehe. Same with the bolts for the risers. |

They shouldnt be a problem at all!! The bolts should come out ok unless the heads of them are rusted smaller. The hardest thing I have found is taking off the exhaust hose and replacing/reinstalling. They stick pretty well with time, and sometimes are impossible to get off without damage to the hose. Since PCM risers generally never seem to have the correct angle to them for an inboard, its tough to get them back on - even if new. Also the heavy duty hose clamps that use a 1/4-28 stud to tighten is much more reliable for a good seal. Worm drive hose clamps to me are just not rugged enough. You can get these clamps generally at a local hydrolic shop. They use them on hydrolic return line hoses. They are also all stainless. I put them on mine throughout, and they are great!!

Thanks, I think my risers are in good shape. It sounds like I may order new manifolds and install them myself.

Definately! Don't pay someone else to put them on, especially after you just paid $200 for the both of them! At least that's what mine cost. |
