Does anyone have detailed Original Equipment Manufacture camshaft specs for the various 351W marine engines offered over the years? By detailed I mean lift, duration, lobe centres and whether there was any built in advance or retard?

If the specs simply aren't available, I have another idea.

If anyone has a dead original cam they could donate to the cause and send me (I'll pay the shipping) I'll degree it and post the results.

Ive always heard and read that stock 351w marine cams (both standard and HO were in the .450 lift range. This was posted not too long ago and is consistent with that:

HO 351w
Duration 210 int./221 exh. @ .050
Valve Lift 0.453 int./0.453 exh
115.5°

Not super detailed info with all the valve event timing, but a start.

Thanks TR, that's probably about as good as it gets.

I just checked my shop manual and the 351W EFI truck engine shows an intake lift of 0.278" and an exhaust lift of 0.283". Rocker ratio is listed as 1.61:1 which places the valve lift the same as the 240 HP marine. Unfortunately this is all the information the manual has on the cam other than wear limits and that sort of stuff.
