This summer The West Shore Water Ski Club will be spending their 42nd straight July on Lake Norris.

My brother Bill (AirTique98) and I would like to invite you C/CFaners to join us at 'World Famous Barefoot Cove' to enjoy a few runs. Rumor has it that a fast-famous American Skier footer by the name of Backfoot100 will be joining us.

There is more to Norris than just footing. Clear clean smooth water all day long. Great scenery and miles and miles of coves and shoreline to explore.

We will be there starting the 18th of July. We realize that weekend is the Big Green Lake Reunion and we would not wanna step on any toes. If you've never been to Green Lake you gotta go. Been there twice and believe me..it is awesome. The guys do an awesome job putting together a fantastic weekend. But just in case...we wanted to throw out the chance to have a few of you guys visit us. Maybe stop on your way home from Green Lake.

No registration..no T-shirts..nothing planned what-so-ever.

Google 'Hickory Star Resort and Marina'....I hear that there is a few cabins or motel rooms still avalible.

Bill and I hope to see a few of you guys there...AFTER Green Lake!

We will be there second week in august.   Where on the lake is Barefooters cove. Last year we were up near lone mountain dock and there was miles of footable water.

normally this would be correct 'cause my brother would kill me but since you are from the home of SeaWorld Ohio Jeff and a veternarian (love dogs) I will share the info that you should look for Crooked Creek on your lake map..just past island F.

We will be there till the 2nd or 3rd of August Chris..

HW..think Christmas in July.....

Unfortunately Sea World in Aurora, OH is no more. There is a small waterpark in the location.   When Sea World closed, it was a big economic loss for the city of Aurora. Our veterinary practice used to employ many of the Sea World employees during the off season.
We will be in Norris Aug 9-16th and staying near big creek about a mile from one of the slalom courses.

You boys making this Ga. boy salivate. Even the talk of my "old" job site on Geauga Lake. I was water front director for Tommy Bartlett. Now a days I want to it as many CCFan gatherings that I can. I mean with the caliber of people like JBear, Hollywood, and the like, it is a good time waiting to happen. The skiing would be awesome. And I am fairly close. Maybe see some of you there.

The "good" water will be everywhere...jbear will be already on site as of the 18th and I'll be a 2 minute ride across the lake from Hickory Star. You picked a good weekend....I believe the 20th is customer appreciation day at Hickory Star; free food, beer, music, etc. They always wait until our arrival for this so we don't miss out.

My dad Gene and I Scott would like to thank Joe and his dad Bruce for inviting use into there home for the weekend, it was very rewarding to tare apart the commander, dig in, and prep the old engine block for the GT40P upgrade, heads, roller rockers edelbrock performer intake, and new holley carb. Joe was a great teacher and a big help, just a few snags that did not hold use back. The results where more than we expected, can't wait to get her out and run her a little before the Tenn trip. Thanks again Joe for all your help and hospitality. post more pics if you have any!

Looks like we'll miss you by a week or so. We'll be there 7/6 through 7/13. My family loves Norris Lake. This will be our 4th year in a row that we spend a week there. We have been staying near LaFollette on the other side of Powell Valley Marina.

John, Bill and Company:

Anyone travelling to and from Norris Lake is welcome to stop by. If your travels take you along I-81 and near Roanoke, VA...... There's a place for you in town with us (near the highway) or at the lake at our place - (I could use some wrenching done on the Barefoot)!

Either way, safe travels - Ya'all are welcome if passing through!

Steve: Thanks for the generous invite but my drive is straight down I71 and I75....and trust me....John and I are probably the last two guys you would ever want to "wrench" on the BFN!! At first read I thought your post said "wretch"...meaning your back/body out behind the BFN, and that we could surely be of help!!

Bill:

Happy to share a cold drink and just sit and stare at the engine...... tha's what I do now! Finally got the front figured out. (You know, they put them in backwards in the 91 BFNs?) - Ha!

Happy to host any traveller........ sounds like a fun time on the water....   Steve

LOL Steve for me and Bill to be under your motorbox...never go under mine without adult supervision; either Eddie or my son Dennis. But drink coldies or watch skiing..now thats right up our alley!

Looks like a nice spot you got there Scott...

Looks to be somewhat on my way to a show in Charlotte the week following GL. Maybe I'll drop the Promo with you on my way to Charlotte. I'm free after the 25th of July....

Would you mind babysitting the boat for a few days?
