I've got a 82 s/n 2001. In need of a part for my distributor . It's a prestolite IBM-700as clip down cap dostributor. I need the plastic piece that advances the timing under the points.

It looks like it would. The only gotcha is whether the right gear is on there for your rotation engine. You could always swap the gear from your old one onto that one if need be.

Ya. Of course I just spent 100$ on an electronic conversion and new cap/rotor for the broken distributor ... If I can find out if it will work for sure I'll just buy it and and another cap/rotor

The ebay distributor has a lefty gear. Why not get the one from John as mentioned above then you won't have to mess with swaping the gear and all your new stuff will just drop in.
