I didn't even know that little piece of hose came off. I fished around with a bicycle spoke, but no luck.

Anyone got an idea for getting it out that doesn't involve dissasembly?

Can you see the hose down in the tranny or are you fishing around blind?

Blind. I checked and the type of hose I was using is doesn't float either.

Next time I'll use a much longer hose.

I'll fish around some more, then I'll remove the transmission and turn it upside down. A pain, but easier than turning the whole boat upside down.

The right combination of 4 letter words and a lucky bend in the spoke, and the tube is out.

I recommend against anyone taking chances with a lousy pump setup like mine. I was pretty worried there for a while.

Next time rather than even stick any length of plastic in the trans use a length of copper, there have been instances of the plastic getting caught inside requiring trans disassembly
