Went to change oil in it before GL and I can't get the dip stick out. I don't want to break something so close to going. The manual says it just pulls out,so I tried to pry on it a little but no go. Almost looks easier to pull the floor up to work on it too--- any tips?

Just an O ring holding it in so it shouldn't be hard to get out. I drained mine completely while the motor was out, there are 2 magnetic plugs below the drain hole, they had some fuzz and black oil when I pulled them. All the oil that came out of the regular drain looked new as it did every time I checked it. I'm not sure if you can reach those without pulling the Vdrive, but if you can those are the plugs I would pull.

Thanks Don. It's stuck good just didn't want to break anything. I think what your seeing with the black oil down in the bottom, is from the use of non detergent oil,all the crud settles to the bottom. I'll let you know how mine looks I have no idea when it was last changed

Eat some Wheaties and try again. Lol.

It does take a bit of force to yank it out.

This sure is another Walters engineering wonder/blunder!! Since they use the U joints instead of bevel gearing, the non detergent oil is needed. A detergent oil would create too much foam.
