98 Sport Driver Windscreen Glass

Arrived at the Dam (lake) today and found the divers side windscreen glass shattered. A car travelling in opposite direction must have thrown up a rock

Removed all the glass and managed to ski without screen and mirror. I actually removed the frame and mirror as with the glass gone the whole structure was quite weak.

Zach are you able to source new glass for these older boats from Taylor Made?

I doubt I will be able to obtain one locally in Aus.

Adam how big is your carry on bag ??

Pete that is my fall back plan. I have Zach checking to see if he has one or can get new glass.

Man, this is where all those beat to hell boats that seem to come up in FL, would be good. Just not a big enough market to go into the used parts business. Will be interesting to see what the Taylor Made folks say. And there really isn't anything you could use as an un original replacement either.

There also is a company in Florida that does Marine Glass. They use to be a site sponsor. I am drawing a blank right now, but I know that they are not inexpensive to work with. That sucks.

Mark, I have something that measures close to your dimensions. I went to get some twin yesterday before we closed so I can get a 100% accurate measurement since its going overseas.

Mark, here is what I came up with using a string measurement vs trying to contour a tape to the curve.

Top Rail to point=53-3/4"
Bottom rail to point=65-3/4"
Height at walk thru window 23-1/2"

These sound close enough to be a match for you. Usually if I am within a half inch of all measurements I can say it's more than likely the right one.

you had these for measurements. This windshield is a round top but I measured these without including the top rail. It adds about 1/2" but the frames are otherwise identical to the top of the square portion.

Top=53-3/8" (you had 23 but I assumed that was just a typo)
Bottom=65-3/8"
Height=23-5/8"

Pete, taking into account variances for how each individual measures something curved differently ha.

Zach they sound very close especially considering it is using a different profile for the frame.
