This boat has been in a boathouse on a lift all its life and I have a junker frankentrailer that I have used to get it to a shop for stringer repair. I would like a real tournament ski boat trailer and wonder what trailer CC trailer number fits this 19' boat.
Thanks. Dunbar |

David,
Welcome to CCfan. When you get a chance, I suggest you take a closer look at all that's available on the site. Here's a link to the 1980 trailers We sure would like some pictures too as well as details. Stringer repair or replacement? Hopefully the later. |

Thanks 8122pbrainard.
I actually just downloaded that and all the brochures and references from the section here on CCfan. Dad bought this boat in 1981 with 90 hours on the clock from Boat Town on Lake Austin. His prior boat was a 1949 Higgins with a Chrysler Straight 6. I put most of the hours on this boat and we had the stringers replaced a few years ago. I am the only one of my siblings who can start it. I have to pour fuel in the carb to get it going. Compression check showed 75psi in 4 of the cylinders (not on one side) and about 100 on the others. It runs fine when going but we need it to be reliable. The boat is too good to scrap so we have purchased a 93'-98' re-man 351 with GT40 heads and all new parts. New carb, intake, exhaust manifolds basically turnkey. Motor from these guys, http://tcmenginestx.com/. Cost with assembly and install with warranty is $5,300. If it was double that we would not be doing it but feel comfortable at that price. We might get it re-gel coated in the same color scheme as original. This one is the grey interior (restored stock) and dark brown stripe on side. Here it is on Memorial Day 2005 |

Nice boat, hope that new motor spins backwards (rh) like the original.
Trailer is a #4. |
