Hey folks,
I have a 79 Ski Tique with a stock 302 in it. The boat usually starts and runs great. However, I dropped in the water the other day and had an issue. The boat started just fine and ideled perfectly but when I attempt to pull away from the dock/pull a skier it just falls flat on it's face! It feels extremely slugish and "bogged" down??? I put fuel stabilizer in when I put it up last time. Could it be bad gas, an issue with the carb, etc??? I changed the oil and the oil filter and that didn't seem to help. Please advise if you have an idea. thanks, Jim |

Ensure the distributor advance did not become stuck over the layup period.

I second the accelerator pump.
If you give it gas slowly will it rev up? |
