Hey folks,

I have a 79 Ski Tique with a stock 302 in it. The boat usually starts and runs great. However, I dropped in the water the other day and had an issue. The boat started just fine and ideled perfectly but when I attempt to pull away from the dock/pull a skier it just falls flat on it's face! It feels extremely slugish and "bogged" down??? I put fuel stabilizer in when I put it up last time. Could it be bad gas, an issue with the carb, etc??? I changed the oil and the oil filter and that didn't seem to help. Please advise if you have an idea.

thanks,
Jim

Ensure the distributor advance did not become stuck over the layup period.

I second the accelerator pump.

If you give it gas slowly will it rev up?
