This Boat

I always stumble across it while looking at boats from the '70s. It's a really neat boat. I love the hard top on it.

Is that the roof off of a Coronado ?

Those HT's always reminded of the Chevy '62, '63, '64   Impala SS roof.

This boat started out it's life at my lake, well not actually "my" lake.

It has a split motorbox.   If it didn't have a split motorbox, you wouldn't be able to open the motorbox due to the hardtop being in the way.

They made the split motorbox so that you guys could call the back half a doghouse, and a dog would actually fit inside. Although I've never tried it.

No, It could be. CC made some hard tops. San Juan comes to mind.

Guess the Maurader could have too.

Yes,   It's original.
And, If you wanna go for a boat ride in the rain, this is the boat to have.

We had another one, a year newer w/ a 440 and a pylon. In order to change the V-belts, you had to take the front section of motorbox off by the hinges.

Why aren't you in school? You better not be browsing CCF on your phone during class.

That one is likely not a san juan , but rather a 19ft or 20ft hull from 63 to 70, I think the dash looks like a 20ft dash. Either way depending on the options it might also be labeled a Marauder.   Both boats are pretty big girls, I have a rough version of the 71 marauder that we put a bunch of hours on last year not the sportiest ride but it makes friends quickly.

The red boat is actually a Debonnaire, and has the same dashboard as mine. I have a hardtop for my boat too, just haven't restored it all the way yet. The comment about the folding engine cover got me thinking that I probably won't be able to open mine with the top on.

Red ?      I thought it looked kinda brown.

Barri's hardtop should fit on the new red Mars Riviera.
