When I changed my oil earlier this season I put in 6...ran it and it was a little low so I put in another and it took it up to the full line. 7 seemed like alot, but it's at the full line and I haven't had any issues since the change.

be carefull that you don't have the wrong dipstick/tube for your motor. 7 qts is a lot and usually they only take 5 qts.
