I'm looking for a good set of commander ford log style exhaust manifolds. Stainless or aluminum.
Thanks. Richard. |

Richard,
What manifolds do you have now? Are they bad and how so? Are you wanting them for the 82 or are you working on another project? |

If you are not in a tragic hurry then these will be available later this fall. I am building a custom set but have kinda back burnered them till I get the boat ready. These are aluminum. I am building the prototype set now and hopefully more later. If you cannot locate another set and can wait then these may help. I will post in the for sale section when they are available.
(have also upgraded the wires and QuickFuel carb since this pic) |

I currently have new PCM manifolds. I am gathering parts to build a lightweight 351w. Still searching for a deal on an aluminum block but have most of the other components. The current engine has about 15 hours on it and performs perfectly. I repowered a friend's 88 with a crate PCM GT40 (LH) about 10 years ago and it tops out at about 54mph. This project should up my horsepower to the mid 300s and shave about 150 lbs off of the drivetrain. Just enough to walk off from my buddy. Sort of a silly thing to spend money on considering it rarely sees top speed - sans the occasional late afternoon burst before I load it back on the trailer. The commander manifolds are a fraction of the weight of the PCM. They are prone to burn out but a low hour pair should do the job.........RG
