Welcome. You are in MA, Just tow it down to Tim's in CT, He'll take it. OK, seriously, folks here are going to ask for pictures to help you put a value on it. Also, some things you can't see: stringer condition, performance.

restored can have several meanings. It could of been brought back to factory original condition or heavy modified.

I could help you with a value on a 1956 Chris Craft that sits upon a custom Boatmate Trailer. Restored to almost original- sorry Pete

David,
As mentioned, pictures are a must and more information like a model if possible would be great. In 63 CC was making both wood and glass. Is it fiberglass or wood? Also as mentioned, the level of the restoration is important. Details???

Welcome to CCfan.

I assume this is you thanking me for placing a value on it. I told you he would come back if we did.

Now if it's a Cypress Gardens edition, it's obviously worth $1713.56 more.

I look forward to never seeing pictures of the boat.

Peter,
I was not thanking you for placing a value on the boat and in fact was and still am confused with your response. #1, why do you feel he wouldn't be back on site unless we did give him a value and #2, where did you come up with the dollar amounts? Are you simply being sarcastic?

Very much so Peter, here we are almost 3 weeks later and nothing haha.

I feel bad too, I forgot to tell him the value of his boat drops $1/day he doesn't post a picture.

Hey David, I just re-read this. Are you the owner looking to value your boat, or are you looking at buying a '63 that's for sale? I wasn't sure which.

Not that we'd give you a different value one way or the other! Just was curious which way you are going.

When you do get around to taking pictures, aside from general exterior and interior pics, try to make sure you get some good pics of the following:

motor and trans
dash and gauges
running gear below the boat
bilge
any damage to hull or interior

More times then not TP is an Azzwipe, every now and again also a snot rag.

Fully restored and nobody has purchased yet tends to imply asking too much.
Will be interesting to see the pics.

Best way to establish value is to comparison shop. Market values change constantly. Now is the best season to buy.

However more important than price is determining what you need.   I have both underbought & overbought stuff,    Getting the features that will benefit you is what creates the value, not so much the bottom line.

Haha holy *************** take a joke.

Everyone on here is so serious.

Tcap, I'll definitely help once you post pictures up, but on a serious note the boat does sound like it's worth $2500-5000, just depends on the shape of it.

If you covet the boat more than the cash it's priced right for you.

Ha it makes a difference to help identify a true value, but we both know about 95% of the 60's era CC's are worth between 2500-5000. If they're worth less it's because the usually have a major issue like bad stringers, lots of original parts missing, or a blown.

Over $5K, it's usually because they were maintained immaculately.

Hell Peter Connolly's 68 Skylark in amazing condition still only sold for $4k, sure it's a 5 year newer boat so it's not quote apples to apples, but if this guys is seriously looking to purchase 63 CC, it better be in perfect condition if you're going to pay over $5000 for it.

So yes with out even looking at it or knowing what type of boat it is, I'm 95% sure it's worth between 2500-5000.

Attached are some photos. There is come cracks in the gelcoat in front of the windshield but its in great shape. I believe the stringers were replaced at some point but looks like it was done correctly. I would have it surveyed before purchase .Thanks for your help!

That's a beauty! Hard to see, but in the engine picture the stringers look much like mine, and the CC serial number tag is in place, so curious what makes you think they were replaced.
