Almost a week out and looking forward to some time on the water. Please count me in on the Silver Glen trip, I've never been to the area and would like to participate in the excursion. I know there isn't really a designated time, but when should I plan to be at Parramores on Saturday as to not 'miss the boat'? If anyone needs anything, I'm local and happy to help. 904-460-8174 - James

James, I would guess that if you are at Parramore's by 10 or 11 a.m. you won't miss the group going to Silver Glen. Sometimes there is more than one group going at a time. If the wind is high, especially if out of the east, it can be a rough crossing of Lake George.

The title photo looks as though it was shot at Silver Glen.

I'm thinking that since we are on the river cruise at the beginning of the week that we would just bring something after we get to Astor.   Don't think anyone wants anything that has been sitting in our boat with no refrigeration for a week----

I am open to suggestions on my part. Other than baked bean have nothing planned. I get a real good deal here on shrimp but not sure of the cooking needed to pull that off. We are only an hour away.

Good point Gary.... Jack there will be a grill available for us to grill whatever so shrimp sounds great....I will be bringing a bag of charcoal from last year's ruckus.... Plates, napkins, and silverware are needed. Don't think we'll need beverages of any type as most bring there own anyway. Personally, I don't think we need to get too crazy and fancy as we'll be on the water most of the day so I say let's keep it as simple as we can. Chips, beans, meat, pasta salad, and dessert works for me.

Cruise starts in two days...Weather is looking great. Looking forward to kicking off the boating season with my CCFan buds. Even newby and local skibud SeaRay Mike and Sea Ray June will be joining in on The Ruckus!

All we need for shrimp is a big pot, a burner like you use for frying fish and some crab boil seasoning. I you bring the shrimp I can help out with the rest!

Eight spots are filled for the 10 am tour at the factory. Two spots are still available. Chime in if you want the last two spots for this time slot!

I haven't seen any mention of "supplies" for the cookout. Should I bring some plastic tableware, paper plates, solo cups?

I may have 3 more interested in the tour. How strict are we held to 10 spots versus 11?

Sounds good Art....As busy as you are just bring plates and utensils.... The River Cruise will be under way around 5...Call Lester at some point as he said he hasn't heard from you.

You guys will not be sorry on this tour. Been there quite a few times and it is always a great time. Added bonus...if you get Dave for your tour.

Yes we are. We will probably be there around 9:30.
Art or Dave. Will you chime in about the best way to get to the factory.   All I can remember is that the gps route is not the best way.

Sounds good Gary...I have one bag of charcoal for the grill and grilling tongs, spatula...Need lighter fluid.... Jerry I guess go by those who piped up and said they'd be here. Sea Ray Mike +1 will be joining us Thursday but he didn't say anything here. Also Lester Todd will be there too.

River Cruise has been awesome....Sunny cloudless skies for two days but looks like a bit cloudy this morning..... We're at the hotel in Palatka and the woody boaters from the ACBS group are here as they too are heading south. Beautiful woody boats. Met some last year an also some who are CCFans. Adam said one guy asked where Alan was with the 55'.....See Magician...you're missed! We're having a blast!!!! Can't easily upload pictures from my phone so I'll try to do something.

Either Jim Staib of finewoodboats.com or Troy with the CCABC. Both great guys.   Take a look at Roberta's Torpedo and remember it well. That will be my next boat build project after #1. Enjoy the rest of the trip gang,
