Bought a couple of slalom ropes a couple years back and the handles don't float. Can floating handles be purchased separately anywhere?

Steve,
Floating handles are usually tied to bayliners. I'm not too sure if any are currently being made. IMO a normal handle that sinks is less likely to get caught in the prop, at least in my experience. Maybe zip tie pipe insulation to the V in the rope? |

Steve,
Maybe you could get some handles from Larry? Since he has vintage ropes, the handles are wood and it floats! |

Besides you of all people know the rules Pete - Ski equipment must be from within a decade of the tow boat year of manufacture

I've used rope floats ...Black foam tubes slid on the rope or handle to make my barefoot handles float better... I get them for $3 each on Lake Elmo Sports in the handle parts section

Chuck at Lake Elmo Sports is a great guy and true supporter of show / water ski and barefooting.
After the club I used to ski for had their trailer stolen with all of their gear - Chuck was quick to prepare a "care package" of equipment (including show boards) . I will say this as well, the show skiing community in general was very generous in their donations. |
