Dear all,
I have this rubber part on my carb which seems to be damage. I guess it is the fuel pump correct ? What could happen with this damage part, too much fuel in the carb ? Thanks for your help regards |

That's the diaphragm for your secondaries. If it's ripped the secondaries will stay shut. Don't take this the wrong way, but if you think that's the fuel pump, you really should find a 351 manual in the reference section here on CCF and spend some time reading it, then you'll know a lot more about your engine Doing the same thing with a Holley book would be a good thing too. You can find them on line also |

Serge if your float levels are correct, check the power valve that screws into the bottom of the carburetor . A backfire can cause it fail, and it only takes one good pop to take it out. The recommendation to find a Holley carburetor manual on line and study it. They are pretty good not like some other manuals. Hope this helps enjoy the boat.

Here's a picture of a Holley metering block with the power valve in front of it. It's something that you would replace with another one.if it's leaking The quick explanation would be that It's normally closed and as vacuum gets worse it opens to supply extra gas thru the primary side of the carburetor |

I know absolutely nothing about international shipping, but if you go on EBAY and search for "Holley Vacuum Secondary Diaphragm" the prices are reasonable and there are some international shippers. |
