Surfed all the way to page 10 in the "Ski, Ride and Foot Talk" section, but couldn't find any topic that centralizes the gear we use on the water...

So I thought I'd make one where we can post our slalom, trick or jump ski's, wakeboards, wakesurf boards and so on.

I just want to post my new HO CX ski, combined with Conelly Stoker bindings.
Why stoker bindings? I just love them and have always loved to ski with them...

So show us what you use on your feet on the water (yes, I know, barefooters be like: gear on my feet??)

How's that CX working for you? I loved the TX but that '16 CX SL was an animal I couldn't tame.

I will let you know if I get to test it tomorrow. Skied once on a friends CX and liked it.
It was a step up from my Jobe Baron...

I purchased this 2010 (ish) HO Charger (69") from Greg's ( NCH20Skier) Discount Used Ski Gear and Boat Paddle Refurbishing Center at his 2016 Badin Lake Mini. This is the same ski as the HO Burner (67") and the HO Magnum (71"). It is a wide ski for the wider rider.

I just got these not because I'm embarrassed to use pink skis but because of gravity and too much junk in the trunk

I still have this one to fall back on

But the real goal is to get these out behind the Mustang

A few of the skis in my collection on display in my garage. My newest aquisition is a mid-late 80's EP Comp 1 Classic (with bag) I picked up at a ski swap meet last Fall. A bunch more in the attic.

Gary.....Let's put some miles on those shiny new Obrien's this summer. I skied the river a lot last summer. We are looking for a third this summer if you are interested. I ski my HO Combos. My trunk is junky too, and combos just feel right.   Just the joy of skiing with the wind whistling through my hairs.

I found some brackets at Farm & Fleet. I'm sure HD has them too.   They have a mounting plate that mounts to the 2 x 4 in the wall and two prongs that fold up flush to the wall if not being used.

so just the tail of the ski is actually being held? The tip of the ski is just 'leaning' on the wall?

The tail of the ski rests on the prongs. I have the skis mounted at a very slight angle. At the top of the ski, I bought some small white plastic hooks which you can't see in the picture that the ski leans against. This prevents them from falling over. It has worked very well.

I'll submit my newer technology into the mix. Decided to make the investment on a new slalom ski this year after skiing a few tournaments and 4-5 mornings a week last summer. I agree, the cost of these things is outrageous but this deal was too good to pass up.

I had purchased a 1-year old Radar Senate last summer and really enjoyed it's characteristics but have been skiing into 36 mph on a more frequent basis. Unfortunately, I have no excuses now!

2017 Radar Vapor Lithium

Two rides out of the box and I'm more impressed than I imagined. We made some binding and fin adjustments last week so I'm eager to get out and chase some buoys on Friday and Saturday.

I skied a Pro Build Vapor last weekend and I really really liked it. It did some things better than my Torque and vice versa. Glad I liked it because I've skied multiple Senates in the course which were disappointments.

Kristof,
I'm not familiar with the European ski industry. Are there any manufactures of skis over there?

Just picked up this EP Comp1 last week at a thrift shop, Came with the original case as well!

Anyone ever ski this or know anything about it? What year/era?

Can't wait to get the boat in and try it out!

EP Comp 1 was my first slalom ski. I think I saw the original blue EP at the marina at our lake the summer of 73 and I bought my Comp 1 the next year. Skied on it until mid 80s and bought an EP Unlimited.
After that Obrien , Connelloy and now Radar Vapor Alloy. Definitely love the Radar
