Broken parts in Moorse tilt steering column

I have a great 1992 Sport Nautique. First trip out this Spring, the steering column froze -- no control of the rudder at all. I took apart the steering column and found four aluminum clamps secured around a hard plastic ball. The ball allowed the steering wheel to tilt up and down. One of the aluminum clamps had broken and the two pieces fell into the cavity around the steering ball area. Bottomline, I have not been able to find replace clamps. everything else is in good working order. Any guidance on where to acquire the aluminum parts would be greatly appreciated. Moorse is owned by Teleflex (I think). However, no luck pursuing with either company.

Hey. Much appreciated and unfortunately in line with what I've experienced to date. I will reach-put to SeaStar for help. In the interim period, does anyone else have an lead or suggestion. It it very irritating to have a single aluminum clamp preventing steering of the boat. Thanks! Rich

Just a heads up, I'm not so certain the clamp, if it's what I'm thinking of, is aluminum but rather "pot metal". When you describe it as aluminum to the ones in know it may throw them off.

The term "pot metal" may also throw the ones in the know off! I'd say the term "zinc die casting" would be appropriate.
