Hi all...I hit a log tonight and damaged the fins, strut, prop and probably driveshaft on my 1980 Ski Nautique.
If you have any parts available that would be suitable for this repair, I'd be interested. Thanks |

I would be interested in any of your damaged parts, especially your shaft because I have a project that I neen to cut short pieces of good stainless and the shaft just happens to be the perfect size. I also have a rudder from my '80 nautique original and 2 props R.H. rotation I could bargain for.

No injuries...just the wallet and that's always replenishable.
Actually, the shaft is one thing that came out all right. My dad is a machinist and checked in on the lathe to be within .001". He bent the fins back to shape and the rudder missed the action...so really the only thing I have to offer is a bent strut and terrible prop...sorry I could be of better help. I was debating on the props. I think we're going to refurbish the current one to as good as can be and use that for a spare, then get a new 540. Thanks for checking though. |
