I just bought a 1980 Ski Nautique. The trailer has a one pieces fiberglass skirting on the entire trailer, I dont know if I like it or not.    Is this an original part of the trailers that was sold for this year? And does it have any value for the boat?

Thanks for the advice.

If it looks like this trailer, you have a "Low Boy." Its fairly rare, so if you dont like it Im sure theres someone here who will be more than willing to trade with you!

Post a pic of your trailer. I may be interested in buying the skirting from you if you want to get rid of it.   You could replace it with a universal 14" tire fender.

The fiberglass skirting was a deluxe trailer option, some don't like it because it makes the trailer a little too wide to fit in most garages.

Agreed, if it is like the one pictured above, it the deluxe low boy. If you look at the sales brochures in the reference section of this site, some of the late 70/early 80s brochures have pictures of all the trailer options. BKH
