I have a 2012 Nautique 200, when cold it starts fine. If we turn off the boat after the engine it warmed up it will not start. We get a clicking noise. Once cooled the boat will restart. If we don't shut off the boat it will run just fine. Any ideas as to the issue?

Check your battery terminal connections. Have they been cleaned with a wire type terminal/post cleaner? Hopefully you don't have a deep cycle battery for starting!

Hey Pete, my boat came with a WalMart EverStart "marine" battery (750 CCA) and says "deep cycle power"on the side. I'm thinking it's a dual purpose? It's worked fine in the year or so I've owned the boat. From my understanding though, and please correct me if I'm wrong, the deep cycles are okay if they have the necessary cranking amps for starting, they just aren't necessary as they are more expensive. Am I okay using the current battery until it's time for a new one?

*Apologize for the hijack, Bruce!
